The staff was more than helpful, knowledgeable and caring in attending to my storage needs. we were quickly able to determine what unit would be best. the price was fair. all my additional questions and needs were quickly and kindly addressed. The facility is well lit, secure, clean and well maintained. I would certainly recommend this location to anyone. thanks again to the two women that took care of me. they made the entire experience much better. I mostly have my "stuff" under control now and have settled in a nice apartment (down from a house) and no longer need a locker now but will definitely keep you in mind if need arises again! Just wanted to give a shout out to National Storage in Lakewood and their wonderful manager, Willy. I rented a 10X30 unit for several months while my home was being renovated. Registration was quick and efficient — with no hidden fees or unreasonable policies. It was as easy to rent as it was to leave, which I really appreciated. Prices were competitive. The facility was clean, safe and secure with a perfect location. If you need some extra space, temporary or otherwise, I cannot recommend this facility and its great people enough!!! I found this storage facility a few years ago while I was building my house and was surprised by how nice it is compared to the other places I looked at. The facility is always clean, well temperature controlled (so I know my stuff wont get ruined), and there are plenty of carts available. Probably best of all, the front office people are always upbeat and helpful! I was very pleased and thought it was a great value for the money to the point where I came back again a few years later.

I stored some furniture here for about a year. When I moved I emptied the unit but I was going to wait to cancel my rental until I was sure I no longer needed the storage space. Within a day they called me to check in because they (Willie) noticed the lock was off my unit. I really appreciate their concern and it makes me feel good to know my property was kept safe under their watchful eye. I would definitely recommend this storage center to all my family and friends.

However, I began to change a move to a different facility when they kept increasing the price for rent. However, the sweet lady that worked on Saturdays persuaded me to stay and would even give me credits. However, once she left, I decided it was time to finally leave and find a storage facility that was not having price increases every four to six months. The good is that the location has units of all sizes. The bad is that the pricing and brand ownership is not stable.

I've thrown away a lot of my personal belongings due to being flooded. Now I have a huge tote and a crazy setup to direct the water into the tote and have to wheel it out after every rain. How many years does it take to fix a leak??? I get a unit close to a large door on purpose. Now we have to walk completely around the building to one location to get in after 5:30pm. There are cameras all over the place. Why do we need to go to the other side of the rather huge building to get in at all? But after 5:30pm??? WHY?

The staff and the owner stole my entire storage unit. I came in to speak with the manager about it and she was blatantly lying. My unit was paid through March and they supposedly had an auction May 1st. Unbelievable. No auction took place and I wasn’t informed about any auction. Filed a police report today. One of the MANY reviews to mention a police report. The owner in his response to these claims gives you the corporate number to keep you in a loop of no answers. Stealing peoples items is horrible. They broke several laws.

I absolutely hate. I have to give 1 star. Please DO NOT do business at this place. YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! First, I had to give up my license to use a roll cart. The custom service is HANDS DOWN the WORST I have experience.The employees were rude, did not know how to speak to customers, and polar opposite of helpful. I needed to use the restroom while there, and the restroom door was padlocked for no apparent reason(approx 1:30 pm). After I was finished, I went to the office to return the cart and retrieve my ID. I found the first office door locked. I THEN proceeded to 2nd door, which was also locked, and when I went back track, I realized I was locked in. After about 20 minutes of walking around a maze, I found my way out of the facility. I went to the main entrance, which was locked with a will return clock set to 3:30 on the door. I called number...no answer. I then called customer service... a woman who would only identify herself as "J " assured me I was mistaken, and the door I went through did not lock me in. She offered no help aside from her sarcastic remarks. I then called Lakewood police... hoping they had a number to reach someone in case of emergencies.. but no one answered the 2 numbers the police had. The employee returned at 3:40pm. I then was given my license from her back pocket. In the meantime, a gentleman who had purchased a locker and the garage door closed on the bay he backed up to and, in turn, had his truck trapped in the door. Stay far away from this place.

Oh lemme tell you about this place! The lady that rented our unit to us was geeked outta her mind on something. She took forever (45 minutes) to let me in the front door, she said she was attending an auction (smoking crack) Fast forward two weeks later to when we were moving all of our stuff out…when checking in to the get the uhaul went smoothly until I revved her up and it sounded like a tractor. Someone stole the catalytic converter lol. When I opened the door to our unit I found that someone had rummaged through our stuff and stolen several expensive items. I called and made a police report and the woman working the front desk came and did an inspection of her own. She inspected the door and the lock and couldn’t figure out how someone got in. Don’t. Store. Your. Stuff. Here.

Items stolen out of my indoor unit. Apparently the doors are always open for thieves to steal what they please. My husband was told they had random people walking around the other day inside. Whoever broke into our unit had a master key. Haven’t heard any apology from the store nor the woman working the desk. Police report filed, waiting to hear about checking cameras but reading previous reviews says I shouldn’t hold my breath. Pay a little more and have your stuff in an actual secure place. This place needs closed down, no one should have there items stolen from an INDOOR UNIT WITH LOCKS. No security measures are actually there to keep your items safe.

Unit was robbed. The police told me access was gained again from missing areas of fencing on the back of the property which they had made national aware of on the previous break in weeks before but they did nothing to correct the situation. Yet they advertise secure? Could not get ahold of anyone about break in after hours had to leave a message had I been able to They could of caught the thief since it was later on that evening he returned just like previous robbery weeks before according to police. My unit was unable to be secured for over 5 day because slide locking mechanism was cut off in robbery. Made inquiries daily about when it would be fixed and kept getting non answers after asking why it wasn't repairs that day like was told it would be by the manager. Requested corporate regional managers number and was told they can't give that out it's against policy. Requested regional mgr to call me then and have yet to hear anything from corporate months later. Did not even get a refund or credit for those days my unit could not even be secured and locked. Then again I didn't even receive an appology. How a company can advertise secured when robbed and not rectifying the situation the police informed them of is obsurd Their non action resulted in my unit being robbed I believe, or at least provided a welcome mat to the returning robber . Store at additional risk at national that could care less about there customers but gladly take your money religiously.

I rented my space one year ago (2021) based on the reviews and location. I moved here From Columbus and had my whole life contents in the unit. Seemed fine until March 2022 when we was ready to move into my new house. I found it totally ransacked and every box had been gone through piece by piece. Large furniture items including a grill, a treadmill and tv wall unit was taken. They took many family heirlooms and my Christmas decorations that my kids and made and I’ve collected for over 30 years. I filed a police report and the Lakewood police came and did an investigation. I only received $2900 from the insurance policy I paid for when I originally rented the unit. ( I had sold my home in Columbus so didn’t have current homeowners policy) By the way, my unit was in the inside of the climate controlled building. The managers and police told me a total of 13 units were broken into at that time. The management said they saw nothing on the cameras for all 13 robberies. Odd isn’t it? The management provided no apologies or comfort during or after this time, and would never put me in contact with anyone up further in the company to discuss. The Lakewood police have all the information to confirm this. However, it is still an ongoing investigation. I’m heartbroken and it’s taken me this long to write the review. Oh yea, and when I moved what was left out of the unit there was rat feces along the sides of the unit and my stuff was filthy from dust. I have pictures.

I reserved a 20ft outside spot for our trailer and received a confirmation #. Arrived two days prior only to find they didn't have any spots available. I was upset since I had just spoke to them four days prior. Worse part is they still have it on their site as available to rent. I called to ask if it was available and was told no , asked why they still keep posting it and was told he had nothing to do with postings. Asked to speak with a manager but he is property manager. I'm not sure what their point is in wasting people's time but it would be great if you didn't advertise and set up rentals for unavailable spots.

I completed an online reservation for a unit at this facility based on the reviews I’d read. I went to the office to provide my DL as instructed. The young man that was working was rude and seemed bothered by my presence. Thankfully I wasn’t there long. Later that evening I went back to locate my new storage unit. The entire facility was utterly disgusting. I found my unit only to find it was actually 2 units side by side! Both units were still locked by the facility so I couldn’t access the space I’d paid for. I went back a couple days later and the locks were removed from both units but much like this entire facility the space was dirty, smelled off, and was certainly not a place I wanted to store my belongings. To top it off, as I headed out, I passed a unit a couple spaces down that was left opened- and there were literally dead mice all around! I can’t believe the number of people who mentioned the cleanliness of this facility! Needless to say, I found another company to rent from and haven’t spoken to anyone from this company even though I’d intended to request a refund. I honestly didn’t want to step back in this place let alone deal with the rude employee. And ladies, if you are considering this storage company, just PLEASE keep in mind that this place is very dangerous after dark- it’s pitch black back there and anyone could easily creep up on you. There were NO working outside lights and even once I made it inside, not all of the sensored lights seemed to work. I’d NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE!!
