It was so convenient. I was able to get a storage unit immediately. They provided the lock. They were flexible with my check out. Although my credit card was charged after checkout, management refunded my card right away. Access requires an assigned code, so I always felt safe in the yard. The space was clean. There is not 24 hour access.

I like the security and ease of access at National Mini Storage, the price was within the average for the area and I did get half off my first month. My friend also received a $50.00 referral bonus for referring me, that was K@@L. I only needed the unit from mid February to the first week in April so I only had to pay one full payment. The staff are pleasant and helpful... This is the 5th time I've used a storage unit in my lifetime and this was the best overall experience I've had in all.

Reasonable price and easy to get in and out of. I love the gate as well it feels safe.

Price was reasonable. Employee was friendly & helpful. Move in was simple & fast.

I selected this facility because it was the best of several near my home. The area is clean and I liked that there is an office on site for questions or concerns. It would be nice if they would put a better keypad at the entrance. When you enter your code to activate the gate, the keypad makes no noise and it's hard to know if the number is registered until you're all done. There used to be a keypad to exit and that one did make noise as the numbers were hit so I know it's possible.

This is one great place to store your stuff. If you have to much let National hold it for you @ a reasonable price.

Been using National Mini Storage on Gull Rd for work purposes the last 6 months and have had no issues and excellent service! The units are clean and maintained - and also very easy to get in and out of. Everything felt very safe and secure the whole time. Also - the manager Johnny Blaze is extremely friendly and very quick to respond if you need anything! Highly recommend.

I just got out of the hospital today, I have been in there since January of this year. This is my 3rd time renting with National Mini Storage. With me being in the hospital I gave my daughter and my brother my information so that the company could know what was going on. My daughter said that she spoke with a young lady and that she would pass the message on. The last time I tried making a payment over the phone. The guy that answered the phone said that my card wasn’t working on his end. So I was told to withdraw the money from the card and bring it in person. Before I was able to do that l ended up in the hospital. Sorry for any inconvenience that may have caused . I would have handled things differently if I were feeling better. The staff at National Storage (Gull Rd, Kalamazoo) were easy to interact with - available - responded to e-mail messages. We even had a little snafu with the first unit I tried to rent, but they worked with me to fix it. I appreciated that I could get into the units throughout the day with my gate code. The garage doors raised and lowered without a problem. The locks (we had to buy from them) were functional and kept our stuff securely. I deducted one star from my rating because I did have some water infiltration - which I wasn't surprised that happened to the unit on the end of the building - but we even had water in the unit that was the second one away from the end of the building - so that was disappointing. It was dripping through the roof on the interior one. It was coming down from the edges on the exterior unit. I deducted another star because we also had a LOT of stink bugs that got into/on to our boxes, so I've been squashing them at my new house as I unpack. They were all over on the doors and walls of the storage unit building.

I rented an indoor storage unit from National Storage for several years and the office staff was courteous and helpful. When I removed my items from the storage unit, I was horrified to find a dead mouse, mice droppings and a mouse nest in the storage space and on my belongings. The manager referred me to their insurance company contact who was rude and not empathetic.

Manager watched us move out and he also lied and charged my card $200 at move in which was supposed to be free and he said it was credited to account which never was credited. Weather stripping was completely messed up when we first got our unit but we had to move our stuff in anyways because it was raining and we had uhaul truck. Never would fix it.

Update: It has now been almost 3 months since the unfortunate choice to rent this unit. Today I exchanged words with the male employee who works the desk who has consistently harassed me every time I have come to this building. I explained to him that this situation is something I cannot change right now or I would absolutely pack up and leave. I shared with him the circumstances that I am here under and that it is not ok for him to continually harass me. He then proceeded to tell me that he will *try* to remember not to harass me next time but he can’t promise me he will remember me. I looked him dead in the eye and told him that he ABSOLUTELY remembers me and that it is NOT OK to do what he is doing and that it is causing even more stress in an already stressful situation. I hope his employer sees this review as it is impossible to reach any kind of management to discuss the behavior and issues of this location. ****The building is infested with rodents.**** The building has visible rodent holes that you can see outside through the wall from the inside of the climate controlled building. The door which is closest to my unit does not close, there is over an inch gap when the door is ‘closed’ but not closed, when I showed this to the guy who has no respect, he said it has been like that for years. I’m paying for climate control and the temperature is not regulated. Every time I go in there it is a different temperature and the range has been 30 degrees difference-that’s not climate controlled! Keyword CONTROLLED. I asked him to put a work order in to fix the door, the rodent issue and the holes in the walls, and the temperature regulation today 2/17/24. Management-you have my number, I’m sure the guy who runs your desk can deduce who I am for you. Terrible customer service, unresponsive management, and not a safe area to store your belongings if they have any value to you. I would not recommend signing a rental agreement with this storage company. The contract alone should warn you of their ill-intent! They are not reliable or accountable and waive all liability for anything that happens on the premises even when they are at fault. Also, do not be fooled by the visible cameras you see... they don't work!

Rented a storage garage from this place in 2021. Were moving out the last day of the month, got half the stuff out, and on the last run my car died. Needed an alternator. The manager said in order to get the rest of our stuff out, we had to pay a full month ($176). He wouldn't bend, and given the circumstances it was rotten not to work with us. So they auctioned off the garage with half our stuff in it. My children's birth certificates and the title to my car was thrown out. I would recommend finding a different place to store your stuff.

I am dissatisfied with the Service I received at this National Mini Storage. Johnny Blaze works in the office and he is rude, unprofessional and difficult to do business with. We have two units and two parking spaces at this locations (and have been here for over a year) but we are definitely moving our property to another storage company that values its customers. Also, the area is plagued with thieves so beware. Someone tried to steal the catalytic converter off one of our trucks and Johnny refused to pull the camera footage to aid in the investigation. Do not use this storage company!

I decided to rent here because of the reviews. I have come to really regret my decision. I also rented a Uhaul truck from this location. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, the size I needed wasn't at the site, so instead, I took a much larger, more expensive truck. That was mistake one. I checked the truck out for damages etc even opened the back of the truck and seen that the truck hadn't been swept out thoroughly. I mentioned it to the young lady who rented me the vehicle but did not make a big deal about it at all. My mother passed away on Sunday the 13th and i live-out of state, so it was important to me to get her apartment emptied before leaving. We hauled furniture and kitchen wares in this truck. Upon returning the truck I received a bill for 112.00 when my bill should have been no more than 50 tax included. I stopped by the location and spoke to johnny blaze who is the property manager. He was cold, towards me and down right disrespectful. I challenged the 38.00 for the gas that he charged my card as well as the 25.00 cleaning fee. He told me that he found dangerous pins and needles in the truck. Which isn't true btw. I explained to him that i had returned the vehicle cleaner than when I received it but he pretty much called me a liar. I'm happy i took a photo of the millage and has before leaving the property because he could not dispute photo evidence. Even though my contract stated the truck was on 1/8 of a tank. I'm still waiting to hear from him concerning his bogus cleaning fee. I will not be keeping my mothers belongings at this facility...

Went to rent a storage unit, had to wait outside, then the guy comes out super fast hands me 2 papers and said...before anything you need to fill this out and fax it to us and ran back in like i was sick or something but in a rude way....went to another storage unit place in Parchment in and out in 5 minutes and place looks way better with camaras everywhere, probably paying way more but just for the great customer service is worth it.

Very disappointed. I sent a reservation in on Saturday only to be told I wouldn't be able to rent until Monday because there wasn't enough time for paperwork and they were closed on Sunday...because I had hoped to have my house cleared of extra stuff by Monday evening, this made me nervous but the girl assured me that it would take "two minutes" to get everything taken care of Monday. She also suggested a bigger unit at a an advertised promotional price which I decided I wanted to do. It took until late afternoon Monday to get the rental agreement, and it was for the wrong unit at full price. I called and let them know. Another hour later and they sent another agreement still showing full price, but at least with the right size unit. The new rep could not explain why I had to sign an agreement for double each month what is advertised/what I was quoted and he "assured" me I was going to be paying the promotional cost...why would I believe that? SHADY! I will take my business elsewhere. This business wasted hours of my time, made false promises, asked me to email personal information, and then wanted me to "trust" that I would be charged less than what they were requiring me to sign.

Got charged for a whole month I wasnt even using!@ I moved in on 06/22/2020 and moved out 07/20/2020 paid 40.00 to move in didnt even stay full month and they charged me 131.00 for Augusta rent and I'm not even using their storage unit! Not to mention nice spiders, and roaches there!!! Give them a negative 0!!! Nothing but cheats and thieves!! Plus manager everytime we came was getting high with his friends!!

Only gave it one star. . 0 was not an option. Trailer broken in to, tv stolen, window broke out. Security is non existent! Never use again at any price.
