We recently rented two climate-controlled storage units at National Storage in Pontiac (technically named National Storage - Bloomfield). Because there is no onsite management, we spoke with Megan over the phone, and she was kind enough to make the necessary arrangements for us. The facility appears to be clean, secure, and in good condition. The rates for the units we needed were quite competitive, and the location on the border of Pontiac is ideal. Megan streamlined the rental process and followed up to ensure that everything was up to par. Also, there is cellular reception in the building, which some other facilities in the area lack. If the quality of service remains consistent, we look forward to storing with National Storage for years to come.

While storage is expensive (just warning everyone), we always felt that the 24/7 access, the cleanliness of the facility, the (automatically-programmed) lighting system(s), and the plethora of moving equipment available to cart things from our storage unit to our vehicles (and vice versa) made it well worth the price! Competent management truly "makes" this a superior alternative to other storage units that are proximate! (Say "hi" to LuAnne for Dale and I. She makes doing business here a pleasure!)

The loading area is covered with access to elevators and hand carts. Bathroom through store front side. Walk ways, loading areas, stairwells and hallway are always clear and free of debris. In the winter the facility is warm (maybe a lil cool) and in summer it’s cool (maybe a lil bit warm). HaHa

I recently needed a storage unit. When I stopped in this facility, Megan greeted me. She was very friendly. She showed me a couple different sized units that might best fit my needs. One thing that stuck out was while we were walking the halls, Megan was picking up trash as we went. National Storage located on Old Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI….is the place to go if you need things stored there. The manager is super kind and professional. Which I love in a company. We stored are things there for a few months when we moved out of our home. They automatically took payments from our bank account or you can use a credit card as well. As soon as we were done with the unit. The manager quickly turned off our account and we weren’t charged. Which was awesome. If you need to use a storage company this is the place to go! You won’t regret it either.

Clean. Well secured. Good customer service. They're units do seem to be a little pricey however.

I had been a storage renter since 2018 started at a decent price but continued to rise every year always clean and accessible but when no one to speak to when elevators don't work or unable to pay rent on site as we were able to do and no notice that no one was going to be on site my decision to vacate was a no brainer.

It was not too bad. Gotten kind of confused when it had sent email but was able to get in contact with rep and they explained it was not important.

Do they have to be parked right in the middle so you cannot get around them? $189/month SMH??? Not believing the phone call I just got from this place. Not good afternoon, this is NSC. How can we assist you? No. I got, "IS THIS DARRYL?" followed with a rant about how the building is being painted and I could go around to the North side and use that elevator. But either way, the parking lot is not full. I tried to explain that I am an amputee (handicapped) and would not be able to do that. Although since she was overtalking me, it's doubtful it even registered. I hung up the phone and continued home. Never had even a hint of a problem before now. Great place to store. Clean. Safe. Friendly?

Really had no problems getting the uhaul or storage unit, the ladies were really nice. My problem came when it was time to unload the The truck when I got to the U-Haul place to get in the gate. so you have to enter the access code that they give you the code did not work on either gates it was no way to call anyone so I had to leave the truck there with my items still loaded up in the truck and put the key in the dropbox because I didn’t want to be charge another day. Some may say no issue you can just unload the next morning when they come in but I work Monday through Friday 8:30 to 4:30 and I cannot take any more days off so I will have to unload the truck once I get off work and this has become a big inconvenience for me I don’t have any help or someone who can go and unload it for me just me and my girlfriend we both work in have to do it ourselves I am well aware mistakes do happen but this is very frustrating because I pacifically took the day off yesterday to get all of this done.
